Its good to see Ruby being put to some good use :) There is no lag upon logging in and navigation round the site is as fast as any other site. Wanted to comment quickly on speed... i'm now getting a short pause during login. Not a bad thing. My login time (after clicking "Login") is averaging 5 to 6 seconds with the wheel spinning (using the latest FF2). It's slower than before but not anything i would ask to have "fixed". I will say this though... once logged in the speeds have increased! I can definitely tell a difference when hopping around our 12 different projects. Pages are loading instantly... i've got a project with probably 60 tasks listed on a page and it's loading immediately upon clicking the Tasks tab. Sitting here in Atlanta, GA (US).
